1. Do I have to be a member of IAPA to make a hotel booking?
The IAPA hotel booking engine is open to IAPA members and visitors to the site. However, only IAPA members who have logged in will be eligible to receive the special rates and benefits we have negotiated at thousands of hotels worldwide.

2. Can I make a hotel booking over the phone?
IAPA has a member only, multi-lingual Travel Services team with offices in London, Dallas, Dubai and Hong Kong. Please see Contact Us for their contact details. There are no fees for members using this service.

3. How do IAPA hotel rates compare to other websites?
IAPA offers a Best Rate Guarantee at thousands of hotels worldwide. Just look for the Best Rate Guarantee note when you are booking your hotel. Where you see this, you can be sure that you are booking the lowest non pre-pay rate online. IAPA members also enjoy specially negotiated rates and exclusive benefits at thousands of hotels worldwide.

4. Can I cancel a hotel booking?
To ensure the reservation is cancelled correctly, please cancel your reservation through the IAPA website rather than calling the hotel directly.

Simply go to the My Account page and click on the Hotels section.

Some hotels charge a cancellation fee while others may have a cancellation deadline after which you are no longer allowed to cancel your booking, so please check the hotel terms and conditions carefully when booking.

5. At what point do you debit my credit card for the hotel booking?
IAPA does not make any charges relating to your hotel reservation, all charges are direct with the hotel.

Some rates require a pre-payment in part or full. These will be clearly marked before you make the booking. You will then be charged the appropriate amount by the hotel directly.

Otherwise, you will have to provide credit card details to guarantee your reservation and you may be charged by the hotel in the event of a cancellation or no show.

6. Can I make special requests to the hotel?
You can make the hotel aware of your needs at the time of booking on the special requests field of the reservation request.

Please note, IAPA can’t guarantee requests but can only pass them on to the hotel. Hotels may apply a charge for some requests.

7. Is breakfast included in my hotel booking?
Please note that not all rates include breakfast. Please check the rate rules for each specific rate.

8. Will I be sent vouchers for my hotel booking?
No. You will receive an on-screen confirmation and also an email with a confirmation number. This is the number you should use when corresponding with IAPA or the hotel about your reservation.

9. Why are so many different rates shown for the same hotel?
IAPA links into the live systems of 80,000 hotels worldwide. The rates shown for each hotel are all the rooms and rates available (including pre-pay if applicable), that match your booking request. IAPA members will also see the specially negotiated IAPA rates in addition to the rates available to the public.

10. What hotel rating system do you use?
No universal star rating system is available, The ratings used have been provided by the hotel and should be used only as a guide, The absence of a star rating is not a reflection on the standard of the hotel but indicates that no data were supplied.

11. What do I do if I need to book two different room types in the same booking?
The rates shown for each booking request match the criteria you entered for that reservation request, If you wish to book 2 different room types in the same transaction, you are advised to make 2 separate bookings.

12. What currencies do you use for IAPA hotel prices?
The hotels will display their rates in the currency you will be charged. We have provided a currency converter to allow you to view the approximate rates in your preferred currency.

13. Do I need to have the credit card that I made the booking with when I arrive at the hotel?
Not necessarily. The credit card you provide at the time of booking is sent to the hotel as a means of guaranteeing the reservation and may be charged directly in the event of a late cancellation or no show. Of course, you must ensure that you have a valid means of payment when you are at the hotel

14. How do I make sure that I get a double room rather than a twin (or vice versa)?
The rate rules should describe the bed configuration. There may be options (at the same or different rates) for different room types. Please take care to ensure you select the desired and most appropriate rate.

You can make the hotel aware of your specific needs at the time of booking on the special requests field of the reservation request, but please note, IAPA can’t guarantee requests but can only pass them on to the hotel. Hotels may apply a charge for some requests.

27. Why do I go to another site when I make a flight booking?
Our flight booking service, which we call IAPA FlightBooker, is run for us by WWTE, part of one of the world’s largest travel organisations. When you search for a flight from the IAPA website, we transfer you to WWTE to search their database and complete your booking with them.

28. Why do I need to sign in again when I want to book a flight?
