The UK Border Agency (UKBA) is staging a nationwide strike on 30 November that could greatly reduce the number of available agents available to process incoming international passengers. Passengers heading for the UK are urged to contact their airline to review their policies for re-booking if the need arises. Those that choose to continue their travels to the UK should have all necessary documentation ready for available officers to expedite the process as much as possible.
Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and BMI all have published policies for re-booking during this time. Passengers will be allowed to rebook their travels based on the airline's policy with no change fee assessed.
